XIII is Back! Grand Opening Party

On May 13, 2005, the legendary club XIII resumes its operations. During the renovation, the club underwent radical changes. Everything has been done to make your stay on the dance floor enjoyable and comfortable: a modern ventilation system has been installed, special VIP lounges have been built, and a new sound system has been integrated. The second floor of XIII now represents a single space accommodating up to 600 guests.
The concept of the renewed XIII has no analogues in the practice of the domestic club business. For the first time in the history of the Moscow club scene, a foreign celebrity will determine the policy of the establishment – Signor Alberto Blasquez, who was at the helm of the legendary club El Divino (Ibiza) for fourteen consecutive years. The most famous club brands and leaders of the modern disco house movement have been imported from the 'dancing island.' Labels like Hed Kandi, Defected, and Miss Moneypenny's will have permanent residency at the club.
XIII will open with a DJ set by the long-time friend and business partner of the club, Mark Doyle.
Mark is the founder and ideologue of the Hed Kandi brand, the most successful club project in Europe in recent years. Once, this very experienced person in the club business noted that as time goes by, people simply outgrow standard house music and find it uninteresting. At the same time, this audience is not ready to give up their usual club entertainment. Mark proposed a special type of party for this crowd – calm, social, and a bit nostalgic.
The first Hed Kandi party took place in Moscow in late April 2004. Since then, the Moscow audience has literally fallen in love with the 'Hed Kandi style.' The concept of events offered by the British club brand fully aligns with the Moscow audience's ideas of the perfect party. Moscow's Hed Kandi parties gathered the cream of the capital's club community and became a real sensation in Moscow's social life.
It was Mark Doyle who played at the first trial party at XIII in October 2004. The grand success of this event proved that Moscow desperately needed XIII, which led to the decision to resume the club's operations.
In 2005, Hed Kandi will have a permanent residency at XIII. Starting in May, parties of this label will take place at the club every month.
