Fans of "Depeche Mode" barely caught their breath after the unforgettable energy and spectacle of their Russian concerts when the band prepared a new surprise for them. A re-release of all "Depeche Mode" albums in 5.1 sound is planned. The first albums that will signal the start of this campaign will be "Speak And Spell", "Music For The Masses", and "Violator". They will be available on store shelves starting April 3.
The deluxe reissues consist of a double disc containing the original album in remastered form, all the B-sides from the singles, and a 30-minute film featuring previously unreleased interviews with the band members. The 16-page booklet includes original artwork, new photographs, lyrics, and comments from Mute founder Daniel Miller. Undoubtedly, these collectible reissues are the best spring gift from the musicians to their most devoted fans.
The reissues of the remaining albums "Broken Frame", "Construction Time Again", "Some Great Reward", "Black Celebration", "Songs of Faith and Devotion", "Ultra", and "Exciter" will appear later this year. In addition, another unusual event occurred in the life of Depeche Mode. They once again showed the world that the band is ready for the most unexpected experiments. It was revealed that "Suffer Well" – a recently released single from their latest album "Playing The Angel" – was included in the official add-on to the famous game "The Sims 2" - "The Sims 2: Open for Business". The most amazing thing is that the band's vocalist, Dave Gahan, re-recorded the song in the "native" language of the game characters, the Simlish Language, which is a mix of Ukrainian and Filipino.
Dave himself commented: "Depeche Mode have always been for using their music in the most unpredictable ways. The offer to record the composition "Suffer Well" in the 'Simlish' language seemed very unconventional to us. That is exactly why it was impossible to refuse." The more familiar version of "Suffer Well" will be released on the April compilation "Best From The West 13". The song and other tracks by the group can be heard on the most popular radio stations - "Europa Plus", "Maximum", "Hit FM", "Energy", and on the channels "MTV" and "MUZ-TV".
