Statement from Zeppelin Company
Клубные российские · 23.02.2007
Zeppelin Company and Cicterna Hall club signed a contract to hold the event 'Lovers go east' on February 17, 2007. According to the agreement, the responsibilities were distributed as follows: Zeppelin was responsible for technical equipment, sound, light, and art content of the event; Cicterna Hall was responsible for administrative matters (hall administration, security, cleaning, cloakroom, electricity, bar equipment). According to the strict requirements of Cicterna club's administration, represented by Vladimir Usoltsev, the management of the cloakroom (the process of receiving and handing out clothes) was to be carried out by Cicterna club's staff. When asked to provide cloakroom attendants by Zeppelin Company, we received a categorical refusal. As per Cicterna Hall's guarantee, the cloakroom capacity was supposed to be 1500 people. In reality, it was 300 places in the VIP cloakroom and 300 in the regular one. The senior staff member from Cicterna club left the premises during the event and only reappeared in the morning. The cloakroom was operated by 14-year-old teenagers who are not allowed to work and do not bear material and criminal responsibility for what happened, which enabled them to steal guests' clothes. Around 2-3 am, the cloakroom staff received an official instruction from Cicterna club's administration to issue 'duplicate tags'. When Zeppelin administration realized that no actions were being taken by Cicterna staff to restore order, the police were called, and they officially recorded statements from the cloakroom attendants and the victims. An investigation is currently ongoing regarding this matter. We do not absolve ourselves of responsibility for the cloakroom situation at the party on February 17; however, we hope for an objective perception of the situation by our guests. Zeppelin Company apologizes to those affected by the poor cloakroom management. The management of Zeppelin Company will keep you informed of the progress in this matter. For inquiries regarding the return of lost or unclaimed clothes, please contact: MVO Meshchansky UVD TsAO of Moscow (Sretenka St., 11) Here are the latest updates on the situation from February 17: we received an official letter from the management of Cicterna Hall club, here are some excerpts from it: 'Dear management of Zeppelin Company! We express our respect to you and inform you that there have been misunderstandings regarding the contract between LLC 'Hortus Harmonia' and LLC 'Zeppelin Production' dated 01/23/07 CI-0701/03. Confusion with cloakroom tags arose during work; as a result, LLC 'Hortus Harmonia,' together with law enforcement agencies, is sorting out matters with the owners of the left items. I deeply regret all of this and believe that the premises should only be used for other projects in the future. I also deeply regret all the troubles that arose both for your firm and ours within the framework of our contractual relations. Sincerely, Vladimir Usoltsev' Attention!
