David Morales, along with his partner Judy Weinstein, co-founded DefMix, one of the most successful companies in the dance music industry. His success has landed him features in international magazines such as Wallpaper, Vibe, ID, L'Uomo, and Ministry. The management arm of DefMix keeps a close eye on the careers of Frankie Knuckles, Satoshi Tomiie & Bobby D'Ambrosio.

During the rise of MTV, DefMix served as an official consultant for the weekly dance music program 'The Grind.' Morales has been an international host for MTV Generator2 and has appeared on shows on major networks such as MuchMusic, BBC, Black Entertainment Television, and many others worldwide.

In 2001, he stormed the charts with a performance of the hit 'Needin'U II' on the British show 'Top of The Pops' with Dance Diva Juliet Roberts. For the second year, Morales' weekly Friday program 'Live from New York' on Galaxy Network has been a success, taking listeners on a musical journey from Britain, including gossips and interviews with guests. His guest mixes have been broadcast on Radio Italian Network, Scotland's Colours, and New York's WKTU, solidifying his leading positions in the world.

As a producer/remixer, Morales has collaborated with top stars like Mariah Carey, Backstreet Boys, Enrique Iglesias, Eric Clapton, Seal, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Jamiroquai, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, Spice Girls, and Toni Braxton. He has also worked and remixed for many electronic musicians like Basement Jaxx, Photek, Satoshi Tomiie, and Sasha.

Morales was nominated for a Grammy in 1996 as the producer of Mariah Carey's 'Fantasy.' His continued collaboration with Mariah led to a second Grammy nomination in 1997 for 'Best Remixer.' Finally, in 1998, Morales received a well-deserved Grammy Award for 'Best Remixer.'

David and his DefMix partner Judy Weinstein launched 'Definity Records.' Morales' first release on this label titled 'Needing U' reached the top spot on the Billboard Dance Chart in the USA and peaked at number 8 on the UK Pop Chart. The video for The Face topped the MTV Dance Chart. The remix and the later vocal version of 'Needin'U II' in 2001 with Juliet Roberts made it into the Top 15 of four countries.

In 2002, Definity regularly made it into the top 10 of the USA Dance charts with hits like Pete Moss & Terra Deva's 'After 2,' Automatic feat. Nashom 'I'll Be Here,' Bobby Ambrosio's singles 'So Thankful,' and his album 'Here I Am.' Frankie Knuckles' single 'Keep on Moving' topped the charts and was included in the first full-length CD from Definity Records, 'Motivation.' Positive critical reviews of this album appeared in Essence, Vibe, Black Beat, and Advocate.

This year, Morales focused on solo work, culminating in a release in the summer of 2003. His single '928 'Siren of Love'' has been hailed, along with the album as a whole, as something refreshing and unexpected from Morales. The upcoming album is the result of collaboration with many young talents from the US and England. The mix of new sounds, fresh vocals, and Morales' style promises to revolutionize perceptions of music.
