Alias live performance

On July 22, Alias will perform at the Hipo party in Ikra. Alias' story is not simple - in 1998, working on the 'Puddle Dynamics' project in Minneapolis, Alias realized that he should make music for life. After receiving his first released record, Alias and his wife quit their jobs, packed their remaining belongings in a car, and headed to East Oakland with three hundred dollars in their pocket. There, in the warehouse where they settled, Alias wrote his first album 'The Other Side of the Looking Glass' (2002). Mastering instruments, not just vinyl and drum machines, Alias began writing tracks without words, filled with mood and sounds of live and electronic musical instruments. Two albums released by Alias shortly after, 'Eyes Closed EP' and 'Muted' (2003), became a stepping stone for his younger brother, who came to Oakland to make music with Alias. A year later, the musical wunderkind Ehren and Alias released the album 'Lillian', which went on sale in August 2005. Recently, Alias launched his own label 'Goodwithmoney Recordings' and released an album featuring vocalist Tarsier. He has collaborated with all members of Anticon - from Sage Francis to DJ Krush, remixing tracks for Giardini di Miro, Boy in Static, Christ, Deep Thinkers, and while touring the world, he shared the stage with The Go Find, DJ Krush, The Roots, Lali Puna, and many others.
