Hystory of Muysic

All the instruments seem not to play anything complex and do not particularly vary their parts, however, both the riffs of the organ with the bass and the rhythms of the drums are memorized quickly and stay in the mind for a long time. And this is a sign of truly good music, because its quality does not depend on the simplicity or complexity of execution, but rather on whether the musician can create quality melodies. Aavikko can do this like few others, resulting in something very sunny, driving, and, since they are Finns, absurdly funny. Choosing specific tracks here is difficult, all the material is approximately on the same level, and there are no passable tracks. Each track could potentially be a hit, if it wanted to be. This is how Hawkwind could sound if they stopped smoking and did not repeat every riff they invented indefinitely. The balance between the accessibility of pop music and postmodern quoting of various enjoyable oldies is perfectly maintained by Aavikko. As a result, the album turned out to be as strange as it is cool. Alexey Yeremenko
