'Aquarium' is the third album by the band Naomi from Berlin, and it is openly the best, clearly more original than usual, intriguingly delightful. Their sound today is a perfect balance between bitter-sweet harmonies and relaxing rhythms, which previously seemed to be the privilege of Air and Pet Shop Boys. 'It's elegant and dreamy, absolutely modern electropop' - summarized by Kultur Spiegel, while Rolling Stone gave them four stars and the term 'fairy-tale'. The band, which has participated in more than 70 compilations with world names, must do something special and we have a truly completely updated atmosphere of sound - no overkill of samples, burdensome loops, and hazy echo effects. Instead, almost minimalistic arrangement, guitars, piano, mellotron and rare synthesizers over dry hip-hop beats. And all tracks are traditionally structured songs, and all of them are hits! Just turn on 'Another Bite of the Apple' - everything will become clear. What was just indicated in Pappellaler has now blossomed over the entire album; it turned out that Bernd Lechler and Nico Tobias are fantastic songwriters. Together with Aquarium, they flew out of the narrow cage of downbeat into the vast world of deep emotional songs with sparkling melodies and concise details. Thus, for the dreamer from 'Personal Big Bang', the future seems impossibly bright, yet the songs 'How Many Loves' and 'Needle on the Record' are devoid of embarrassment and absolutely danceable.
