Alex first discovered the world of music at the age of 10. In 1984, his parents gifted him the legendary Roland Juno 106 synthesizer. As a student at the conservatory studying jazz piano, he remained fascinated by the limitless possibilities of electronics. Filters, effects, modulations - this is what attracted Alex. It was thanks to his passion for electronic music that he discovered artists such as Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, John Cage, Peter Gabriel, and others.

Convinced of the need to blend genres and in search of his own sound, at the age of 16, Alex turned his attention to pop electro. Playing keyboard in several bands, he attempted to bring elements of electronic music into their arrangements.

His training as an acoustic engineer firmly established his complete and final turn to electronic music. Alex has been involved in a multitude of diverse projects - he has composed soundtracks for short films, created music for commercials, provided sound for fashion shows, participated in theatrical productions, etc.

Alex Sheffer aka Cell has released dozens of tracks featured on over 30 various compilations, including the legendary Buddha Bar and Farenheit project, an album on Indica Music, and several live performances, the latest of which was released on the renowned French chillout label Ultimae Records.
