Melancholic and magical beauty, captured in the music of German Michaela Schwangena, released on his own label Areal under the pseudonyms Metope and Undo/Redo (in collaboration with Konfekt) periodically competes with the aggressive side of this musician's soul, which found its home on the creation of Benno Blome's Senders label. Metope's works for the Areal label are filled with love for simple yet beautifully intertwining synthesizer melodies, organically woven into a taut yet flexible and pleasant-to-the-touch rope of thick analog bass and driving beats. Metope's album "Kobol" was named the most beautiful techno album of 2005 and held the number one position in the German Groove magazine chart for 10 weeks. The music of the Areal label long remains in memory, touching the most romantic strings of the soul, whether it is the gentle voice of the label's pride Ada, the minimal-funky experiments of Basteroid, who opened the Love 2 Live series a year and a half ago, or the simplicity and genius of Metope's tracks. The Sender label has a completely different musical policy, which is why Metope's works for it are a rigid rope, completely consisting of aggressive bass, sub-bass, a second bass line, a third bass line... There is so much bass in these tracks that it defines the entire essence of the musical piece; the track lives the life of a single bass line, whose insane twists are successfully echoed on dance floors by thousands of clubbers around the globe. Thanks to his original tracks, Metope joined the ranks of techno musicians who participated in remixing the latest Depeche Mode album; on the remix record of the track "Suffer Well" there is a version by Basteroid and two versions by Metope.
