Nu Nrg

Favorites of the great Paul van Dyk, the duo Nu Nrg is known in Europe for their incredibly successful 2004 album Free Fall, a series of triumphant 'live' performances at global open-air events like Nature One, Loveparade, Mayday, Labour of Love, and the signature parties The Love From Above by the Vandit label. Andrea Ribeca and Giuseppe Ottaviani, two ambitious Italian guys, founded Nu Nrg in 1999, and after their first released track caught the attention of Paul van Dyk. He signed the young musicians to his own label Vandit, including their debut work Dreamland in the compilation The Politics Of Dancing. The master's instinct did not fail – the track immediately entered the German dance chart Top 40, opening the door for Nu Nrg to bigger European dance floors. The musicians fully justified this high trust, brilliantly performing at the most influential dance festivals on both sides of the Atlantic, not missing the Berlin Love Parade or the rave Emerald City in Philadelphia. As honored guests, Nu Nrg also performed at Paul van Dyk's signature parties The Love From Above and the cult Cream Party at Amnesia in Ibiza. Distinctively standing out from other DJs with fully live shows, the musicians invariably caused an emotional storm on the dance floor. The long-awaited studio album Free Fall, released in July 2004, finally cemented Nu Nrg's status as stars of the euphoric trance style. The tracks Butterfly, Connective, and Aloa-P are recognized by critics as benchmarks, and today Nu Nrg are mandatory participants in all significant trance parties in the Old World.
