Egbert

A protégé of Cocoon ideologist Sven Väth, Dutch artist Egbert began making music at the age of nine. Years of training paid off: after releasing his debut Stroom EP a year and a half ago, Egbert shot to fame. His flamboyant tech house, equally leaning towards progressive house, dub, and classic Detroit sound, instantly found its place in Cocoon. Sven Väth included the track Magie in the mixed album The Sound of the 10th Season, and the Dutch summer hit Vreugdevuur is played by every single colleague in the field – from Väth himself to DJ Karotte, who, like Egbert, is also a resident of Cocoon. The Dutchman's live performances consist 100% of his own tracks: combining melody, groove, and an energetic yet tough delivery, these shows have earned the designation of must-have in just a year.
