Maurizio Barembaum (Barem)

A young and talented Argentine from Buenos Aires, Maurizio Barembaum began classical guitar lessons at 15 and switched to computer production by 19 after a trip to Berlin. Discovering minimal techno in 2003, he started introducing the genre to audiences through DJ sets and live performances. His music, deeply rooted in his Argentine heritage, is built around synthesized samples, analog drums, and hypnotic basslines. Barem's tracks on labels including Foundsound, M_nus, and Phonocult regularly feature in sets by Richie Hawtin, Riccardo Villalobos, Luciano, Mark Henning, and others.
