George Brooks

George Brooks is a world-renowned saxophonist who combines the richness of contemporary jazz melodies with the vibrant rhythms of North Indian music. He has collaborated with outstanding musicians such as John Mclaughlin, Zakir Hussain, Terry Riley, Krishna Bhatt, Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Sultan Khan, Anthony Braxton, Albert Collins, Turtle Island String Quartet, and Larry Coryell.
Brooks has been performing in the Laboratory since its first concert at Bean Me Up, Anjuna, Goa, in February 2005. Since then, he has participated in virtually all musical experiments of the Lab: "Live at Bean Me Up" (February 2005, Goa), "Live Beat" (February 2007, Goa), LABOTOMIA (November 2007, Moscow). He has had a tremendous influence on the creativity of the Laboratory.
