Eric Estornel is a Texan of Cuban descent who first got behind the turntables back in 1993. Having reached the heights of DJing that were available to him, Eric saw a higher peak - a career as a producer of electronic music. Not limited by genre boundaries, Estornel creates music under several pseudonyms (Maetrik, Mariel Ito, and simply Estornel), released on world-renowned labels (Treibstoff, IronBox, And Morris Audio City Sport, SubStatic, Onitor, Immigrant, Chalant, Intrinsic Design, Modern Love, Tic Tac Toe, Scsi AV), which has ensured Maetrik an intensely packed touring schedule for many months ahead.
