Rotersand

When in September 2002 Rasc and Gun decided to form Rotersand, they already knew each other well. Their paths had crossed several times in the past when they collaborated with groups like The Fair Sex, 1am and Warm. Perhaps this collaboration inspired them to create their own project in the electronic music arena: energetic and thoughtful, modern yet timeless. The energetic and touching sound of Rotersand was well received during the 'Legends United' tour in September 2002. During this tour, the musicians persuaded Krischan E. Wesenberg to join them. By that time, Rasc and Gun had been following Krischan's work as a producer. Since the moment they combined their forces, their music gained even more momentum - they matched perfectly. With their EP 'Merging Oceans', released in spring 2003, Gun, Rasc, and Krischan attracted global attention. For several months, the band occupied top positions in the German Alternative Charts, Nordic Alternative Charts, and Dutch Alternative Charts. The title track 'Merging Oceans' received significant rotation on radio stations and the Internet worldwide. The debut album of Rotersand 'Truth Is Fanatic' still echoes in dance halls. 12 expressive tracks express the entire creative spectrum of the band - from the floor-shaking dance tracks 'Almost Violent' / 'Social Distortion' to emotional ballads 'One Level Down' / 'Hush'. The specific mix of pop music, techno, electro, and even classical elements made the album 'Truth is Fanatic' a truly remarkable debut. In 2005, Rotersand released their second album 'Welcome to Goodbye'. They significantly improved their musical style and sound. Each song contains power and energy. Rotersand is indeed a band to be reckoned with. This name will be on the lips of fans for many years to come. 'Welcome to Goodbye' was nominated for 'Best Electronic Album of 2005' by Zillo magazine and reached the second position in the DAC annual album chart – only Depeche Mode with 'Playing The Angel' managed to hold the top spot. Such success for a young German band was unexpected for everyone, but surely it will be followed by equally astonishing continuations.
