Squid project

The project was formed in 1998 by two musicians who had long been experimenting with electronic musical equipment and trying to contribute to the Russian electronic music culture. After some time, one of the members left the project. Currently, the only active participant of the project is Igor Vlasov. The project has experience working at radio stations, holding live concerts; the people working on this project are professionals with extensive skills in sound work. The project initially focused on writing non-commercial deep house music using analog musical instruments. "Our experiments with analog synthesis have shown that compositions written using such equipment have a 'soft analog' sound and bring life to the music." Here are some styles that the project is currently working in: - Deep house - the style that defined the beginning of the project and remains fundamental for composing to this day; - Disco - a relatively recent style for the project, but has already gained recognition; - Progressive house - the project ceased work in this style in 1999. The last releases can be found on "Discotech: Progressive house (Russian edition)" CD, "Вечерина House" CD from Grand records; - Dub - this style for the project is a branch of the Deep house style, as all tracks created in the Deep house style are arranged and complemented with various instruments, ultimately each track acquires two versions of style - Dub and Deep house.
