Suspect

Under the creative pseudonym Suspect hides Tim O'Loghlin - one of the few Australian electronic musicians known worldwide. In 1994, together with fellow countryman Michael Dowling, Tim organized the Dark Network project - an industrial-deranged drone with a measured (or implicit) rhythm and minor vibrations. Settling in a home studio in the suburbs of Canberra, the duo produced a couple of dozen experimental gloomy tracks over the years with transparent hints of deep techno, earning respect from numerous fans of Fax Records and other producers of similar products. In his solo work, Suspect prefers more dynamic musical genres, with techno in all its forms being predominant. At home, Tim is a leader of the national techno movement and an undisputed authority on modern music; Suspect’s sound installations have been exhibited at the National Museum of Australia, the Art Gallery of NSW, and at the ACT contemporary art festival. There’s no reason to suspect Suspect of excessive abstraction: on the dance floor, he will certainly light it up as we love!
