Rico Henschel is a rising star in electronic music. Born in Berlin in 1980, his hometown was engulfed in a musical revolution by the end of the first decade of his life - the first Loveparade. Inspired by what he saw, Rico bought his first records and at just 13 years old began to learn the basics of DJing... The thought of needing to play his own music never left him, and Rico started writing it. In 2002, his first record was released on the relatively young label Musik Krauze. His next release on the label raum-musik brought Rico fame, reaching the 10th position in the Groove magazine charts. This was followed by releases on the labels Lebensfreude, Opossum, and Dumb - Unit. Rico is known as a specialist in minimal sound, creating sound collages from a massive variety of micro-particles that fit together like a puzzle into a clear and powerful acoustic picture filled with energy.
