Texas faggott

Texas Faggott is Pentti Slayer and Tim Thick, a psytrance group from Finland, founded in 1996 with the participation of Francoise Faggott. Tim was an active participant in Mandalavandalz, Flying Scorpions, Tea Chairs, and other well-known Finnish projects, while Pentti founded the reggae label Semi Sounds. Besides Finland, the duo has performed in various corners of the world - Israel, Russia, Japan, India, Australia, the USA, Mexico, New Zealand, and several other countries. Their music can be cheerful and serious, uplifting and relaxing; if one were to describe it in one word, it might be "ethno"-psytrance. If you believe Tim, the name Texas Faggott comes from the instrument "fagott", which they used to love sampling in their tracks; however, their music and eccentric performances on stage speak of something else. Behind the word "faggott" could hide a simple bassoon, which in Finnish is called fagotti. Many fans consider Texas Faggott to be the "gods" of Finnish, or suomi-psytrance, and the entire genre of music that it spawned. The group is also known for its remixes of famous Finnish pop/rock artists like Ultra Bra, Kingston Wall, and Notkea Rotta. Unique and unpredictable, their music is an absolute experiment with entirely new and unexpected sounds.
