Vishudha Kali

Vishudha Kali is a project from Saint Petersburg, presented by one permanent member and performer. The project has evolved significantly along with the author: earlier, the music under the name Vishudha Kali was stylistically very diverse. However, this music has always had a psychoactive component that the author borrowed from root shamanic and mystical cultures and practices. In recent years, VK has been presenting performance programs with an ethno-ritual focus. He mainly uses live instruments, traditions of Bon, Central Asian cultures: singing bowls, drums, and tambourines, ritual instruments made from human bones, homemade acoustic devices, intrauterine and throat singing. The entire program is constructed as a kind of exorcism ritual, during which each listener is involved in the process and invisibly participates in the performance.
